When I set my country in settings, the app doesnt remember it each time I launch the app. I have to go to settings each time and reset my country. App should remember this detail each time.
Since I installed it it crashed twice (and froze). After restarts I finally moved forward. So I select “Check-in” (because the online check-in is frozen both on computer and mobile) and it opens a web link which of course is frozen too. Compared to other airlines apps , this one is still far from what it should be.
The app requires you to re-enter the same data repeatedly, including frequent flier number and my last name. And it doesnt seem to be able to send the boarding pass to iPhones Passbook app. Hey, and there are hundreds of software companies in Israel that can code this for them. So what gives?
Horrible app. Come on elal every airlines out there could get there act together, you guys are still stuck in the 90s.
It keeps asking me to put in the flight over and over and then tells me theres no relevant flight? Im at the airport waiting for it to land. I assure you its relevant.
This is Terrible! It sends you to the ELAL web page for every thing! If you dont have Internet your I trouble and why have an app of it does the same as the webpage? Erasing it! Dont waste your time

I almost never write reviews, but this app is so bad that I cant ignore it. In fact, 1 star is even too many. This is just a web gateway to an already mediocre Web site. Every other airlines has a dedicated, developed iOS app, but the airlines of one of the most technologically advanced countries in the world has this embarrassment of an app. It doesnt remember user information, it doesnt format everything correctly for the screen, and it sure doesnt let you generate a boarding pass to store in your Apple Wallet. Really horrible. So so so disappointed.

This airline shamed of the air tech department. The website is Rendas and pretty much non-functional, so I was hoping this would offer the information I need (flight updates etc.). Unfortunately and not to my surprise the app fails to even load and crashes upon opening
I used this app in early 2015 for a trip to Israel. It was minimally useful. I have booked another trip for early 2016, and Id hoped there would be some improvements to the app. But its as useless as ever. You cant update any personal information, particularly important for this safety-conscious airline. But it just clocks....and clocks....and clocks. Israel is world-renowned as a computer/tech center; how can Israels national airline have such a poor app?
Just downloaded; tried to Manage My Booking; after entering the Reservation Number and Family Name, the next page had the “…entitled for an upgrade” sheet displayed over the intended page, but it was not scaled to display fully on my iPhone 6 and no landscape mode that might have helped and no drag to move image or pinch to string it. Result is that the “X” in what would be the top-right corner to cancel that sheet didn’t show and, thus I can’t proceed. Unbelievable.
This app is almost entirely non-functional, especially compared with so many of the other excellent airline apps available (e.g. Delta, Alaska). When I try enter a booking in the “Manage My Booking" section, the “wheel” spins for eternity: I never could access my reservation. The Frequent Flyer club link drops you out of the app and into Safari. El Al should be ashamed of themselves for having such a worthless product associated with their name.
In spite of "bug fixes" this app remains worthless. I was not able to log into the Matmid area. When trying to review an existing reservation the app spun Interminably and never did find by reservation. I wish the app were usable.
I bought a plane Tkt using this app and it kept spinning until it crashed. I checked my bank and was charged $810 for nothing. I call Israel and they said soryy they cant do anything but to call El Al in Zurich, Switzerland. I did and they said the same thing that they are very sorry but cant refund any money. I lost $810 and have to enter a dispute with my bank! DONT USE THIS APP U WILL LOSE MONEY!
